چکیده

The disposal of massive amounts waste, particularly nondecaying is now a major issue for both developed and developing countries. One the most sustainable solutions to this problem recycle garbage into valuable items. Expanded polystyrene, which manufactured in large quantities, one these waste materials. This being used globally as packaging material, construction household appliances. expanded polystyrene (EPS) necessary due its biodegradability, aesthetically, it has great negative impact on environment. goal research would be see how shredded EPS affects characteristics asphalt concrete. For this, four separate serial concrete samples were made with varying (0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1% by weight total aggregate) five different percentages (4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0% aggregate). In study, 60/70 grade bitumen was used. Modified properties examined compared those standard specimens. penetration, ductility, softening point, flash fire point will all affected addition plastic waste. optimal content conventional specimen 5.1 percent, OAC applied. mechanical specimens studied terms Marshall after created regard adding EPS. It been discovered that applying 0.5% produces improved results than other methods. Simultaneously, percentage increased, stability value increased approximately 82.61% traditional mix.

Implication of expanded polystyrene and shredded waste polystyrene to control Anopheles spp, Bandar Abbas and Chabahar, Iran

Introduction: Due to insecticide resistance, environmental pollution and difficulty in biological control, usage of conventional larval control measures are not applicable in mosquito breeding places. As part of Integrated Vector Management program, we aimed to asses the effectiveness of two polystyrene beads types for Anopheles spp larvae control under laboratory, semi-field and field cond...

Use of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Shredded Waste Polystyrene (SWAP) Beads for Control of Mosquitoes

Background: Mosquitoes transmit several diseases to human. There are several measures for control of larvae. As part of Integrated Vector Management (IVM) program, the utility of floating layers of polystyrene beads (EPS) is a potential alternative in habitats of mosquito larva. EPS beads prevent oviposition of mosquito as well as killing the immature stages by forming a tick layer on the water...
